Designed by Gabriele Pezzini 10 years ago, the Moving Stool has become a modern design icon. Published in international design magazines, it has been included in the book «Modern Furniture - 150 years of design» by Ullmann Publisher, and has been selected by the Triennale Design Museum in Milan for its travelling exhibition “The New Italian Design”.
The Moving Stool is the result of a long-lasting research on perception of objects, as to how objects interact with space and our memory. Moving Stool is not only a seat with a handle to be carried around; it is a perception stimulator that triggers questions about the nature of objects and their origin.
Moving Stool is an ideal house complement for indoor and outdoor spaces, and it can also be very useful in public as well as in working places. It has been designed with the perfect stool sizes: it is 39 cm high and its seat has a diameter of 35,5 cm. It is carefully produced in Italy using the rotational molding process. Through this technology we can produce an entirely hollow one-piece shape in recyclable polyethylene, which makes it highly resistant and easy to clean. It is equipped with a handle in satin finished stainless steel.
